The March 2017 issue of The Pulse is the seventy-fifth issue published since the Fall of 1998. We asked former reporters and editors to let us know where they are now, their favorite Palo Alto memories, and what advice they would give to current students.
Rossi Ramirez attended Palo Alto College from August 2009 through May 2012. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Texas A&M-San Antonio, and she is currently a producer for KSAT-12’s variety show, SA Live. Ramirez said that being a writer/editor for The Pulse helped her with her writing. She uses the skills she learned being a reporter every day writing scripts for the show and its hosts.
“I’m working at my dream job right now! I get to book segments and celebrate all things San Antonio. It’s great to see what I put together go live on air and throughout the South Texas region,” wrote Ramirez. “My favorite memory from PAC is my trip to D.C. and New York City with Dr. Richter and Professor Marcotte. I made lifelong friends and learned a lot about blogging and writing.”
In 2016, Ramirez was recognized as one of the 30 PAC alumni of the college’s first 30 years who have achieved success in their professions.
